
In Bahía Blanca, a worker died after falling from the roof of a milling company. The 20-year-old, identified as Ezequiel Havich Díaz, was working on the roofs of La Nueva Manera S.A. when the accident occurred. According to a colleague of the victim, Díaz had stepped on a translucent sheet that needed to be replaced, which caused the fall.
Authorities, including the Police, Civil Defense, and an ambulance, arrived at the scene and confirmed Havich Díaz's death. Forensic experts conducted the necessary investigations to clarify what happened, while summarial procedures began under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
The company La Nueva Manera S.A., located at Brown Street 1475, stated that the worker had the required safety equipment, such as harnesses and lifelines. They indicated that they did not know why he disconnected from the lifeline and stepped on the translucent sheet, which had fatal consequences. Furthermore, they confirmed that the contracting company to which the victim belonged had planned to replace the translucent sheets on the roof.
The company deeply regretted the loss of the worker and conveyed its condolences to family and friends.
